Loans Toronto is an information and referral service. We do not lend, we have no staffed office in Toronto or anywhere in the region, and nothing here is advice for your situation.
Information, not advice
The pages explain how payday loans and installment loans work under Ontario and federal rules and what the legal limits are, and that is all they do. They do not know your income, your rent in a tower at Yonge and Eglinton or your Presto balance, so they cannot tell you whether to borrow, which product to take or how much. A non-profit credit counsellor in Toronto can look at the whole picture with you at no cost, and the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada publishes plain guidance on the alternatives.

Where the figures come from
Every dollar figure on this site is either a legal ceiling or a worked example at that ceiling: the Ontario limits on a payday loan's amount and term, the federal cap on the payday fee, and the federal criminal rate as the ceiling on installment lending. A lender's offer may sit below a cap, and its disclosure box is the figure you are signing. Toronto detail stays qualitative: we name the strips and the transit lines, never a store count, a lender or an address.

The lender sets approval and terms
Approval, the amount, the fee or the APR, the due dates and every other term of a loan are decided by the licensed lender, not by this site, and no lender in Canada can promise approval before it has seen your income. Read the agreement before you sign, and check that it shows the lender's name, the cost in dollars and, on a payday loan, the two business day cancellation right.
No promise of accuracy or availability
We work to keep every page current, but laws and products change and a page can lag. We make no promise that the site, the platform or a lender will be available when you need them, or that a figure here still matches a lender's current disclosure. The terms of use set out the limits on liability, the about page explains who runs the site, and the FAQ answers the questions Toronto readers send most.
